Mice provide important OCD clues
A study conducted by researchers at the University of Miami School of Nursing in conjunction with The Sirkin Creative Living Center (SCLC) has found that Rescue Remedy®, a natural remedy made from flower essences, is an effective reliever of situational anxiety.
The double-blind clinical trial compared a standard dose of Rescue Remedy against a placebo of identical appearance in a sample of 111 individuals aged 18 to 49. The Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory - a standard means to evaluate anxiety - was administered before and after the use of Rescue Remedy or placebo.
Reductions in anxiety level measurements occurred in both the Rescue Remedy treated and control (placebo) groups. Analyses of the results indicated that only the high-state anxiety treatment subgroup demonstrated a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores.
Rescue Remedy contains five flower essences: Rock Rose, Impatiens, Clematis, Star of Bethlehem and Cherry Plum.
